How to organize your time working remotely?

People who work remotely often have problems with managing themselves over time. Fortunately, although we are facing a considerable challenge, this does not mean that we are not able to meet it at all. If there is such a possibility, it is worthwhile to prepare a list of tasks that we know we have to do on a given day.

Set priorities

The list should be divided into four groups. The first should include important and urgent tasks, the second should include those that are not important but urgent, the third should include important but not very urgent sentences, and the fourth should include minor and non-urgent tasks. Tasks belonging to successive groups should be performed in a certain order, starting with those that are not only important but also urgent on a given day. Those that are not important and at the same time not in a hurry can be left to the very end. And it won't be a problem if we don't deal with them until the next day.

Use task schedules

Another interesting solution is the graphics of tasks, but to use the opportunities created by them, it is necessary to estimate how much time we will perform each task. Then it is necessary to determine at what times they are to be carried out. If we know that the task is difficult, it is worthwhile to plan its completion during the hours when we ourselves are particularly stimulated intellectually.

Work schedule

The importance of work breaks and... cleaning up the workplace should not be forgotten either. The graphic designer should also include tasks other than those related to work, although their time must be specified if we do not want them to get out of control. Thanks to modern technology, it is not a problem to establish notifications on your computer or phone, which will let us know that the time spent on performing a specific task has already passed.

Observe the 60/40 rule

It may also be helpful to assume that professional tasks planned for a given day should be carried out in such a way that only 60 percent of the time is filled in. The remaining 40 will certainly not be wasted, because it certainly turns out that there will also be unplanned tasks, but the ones that we can not give up. So if you plan to do your job in eight hours, it's worth planning a day to do what you need to do in 5 hours. If we do not manage to finish our work in that time, it will not be a tragedy at all, because we will gain three extra hours.
